RSG - RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF GAMBLING(SITHGAM201)


Government requirement

From January 2016, nationally accredited RSG (SITHGAM201) training requires the compulsory submission of personal information and a voluntary submission of a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI). Submission of this information will be used for national reporting requirements.

If you do not wish to submit your USI, your training results will not be recorded against your USI online account. If you do not currently have a USI and wish to obtain a USI please go to www.usi.gov.au

Course Content

The Gaming Act 1991 (Qld) provides that holding an approved RSG certificate is a mandatory requirement for all stall involved in gaming duties and tasks. This includes gaming staff, Gaming Nominees, and any staff member who deals with gaming exclusions.

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to deliver responsible gambling services, and information to customers who require assistance with their problem gambling

  • Self and venue initiated exclusions
  • Dealing with 3rd party approaches
  • Legal obligations and industry best practice
  • Understand the nature of gambling activities and problem gambling
  • Provide accurate player information to patrons
  • Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice
  • Strategies for assisting a problem gambler
  • Staff, management and venue responsibilities
  • Provide responsible gambling information to customers

Cost: $60.00 per person

Online delivery method: Online delivery allows flexible training outcomes for licensees and their staff. Trainer and technical support is available if required.

What you will take away: Upon successful completion of RSG (SITHGAM201) you will obtain the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment. The QHA is a registered training organisation (RTO: 30825) approved to issue the RSG Statement of Attainment to successful candidates.
