ONLINE FOOD SAFETY SUPERVISOR

Anyone can now undertake Food Safety Supervisor training ONLINE thanks to a unique partnering relationship undertaken by Queensland Hotels Association and Southbank Institute of Technology. 

The ONLINE course meets the Australian Quality Training Framework standards for the nationally recognised competencies to become a Food Safety Supervisor.

For the hospitality industry this includes both the mandatory Level 1 and Level 2 (SITXFSA001A & SITXOHS002A) competencies:

SITXFSA001A (formerly THHBCC11B):   Implement food safety procedures
SITXOHS002A (formerly THHGHS01B):  
Follow workplace hygiene procedures
SIRRFSA001A (formerly WRRLP6C):     
Apply retail food safety practices
FDFCORFSY2A                                     Implement food safety program

Note: Retail and food processing industry units are also included as the subject matter is substantially the same.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Complete ONLINE in 8 hours (dependent upon skills and experience)
Undertake the course at your pace – you don’t have to do it all at once
Easy web site to navigate 
Information presented in an interesting way 
Instructor and IT support available 

Cost: $190 for QHA Members / $210 Non-Members  

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Students must supply a current, valid email address, have Internet access and be able to commence the program on enrolment.

PROGRAM DURATION

On average 8 hours (for a student with an average level of experience). 
Students have 4 weeks from the date of enrolment to complete the course.
You don’t have to complete the training all in one go – you can access the site and work on it whenever you like until you cumulatively complete the course.
Program assistance will be provided during office hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

PROGRAM AWARD

Statement of Attainment detailing competencies achieved.
Please allow up to 21 days after completion of all assessment for processing and postage of results/award.

HOW TO ENROL

STEP 1:

Members: book online and you will be forwarded a tax invoice to pay for the course (at member rates).

Non-members: please book and pay online via the payment options below, and a receipt will be forwarded accordingly.

Once your payment details are confirmed – move to Step 2.

STEP 2:

You will be emailed instructions as to how to access the TAFE website, provided with a Delivery Package Number and Authorisation Code, which allows you to access their online system to enrol in full.

Once a user ID and password is issued after you enrol and select your course/competencies, proceed to the course proper and study material.

APPLICATIONS CLOSE
