Employment Relations Conference
'Fair Work: Six Months On'
Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th of June 2010
Brisbane Marriott Hotel
QHA's Employment Relations Department is pleased to announce its 2010 Employment Relations Conference - Fair Work: Six Months On.
From July 2009 when the first part of the Fair Work Act 2009 took effect through to 1 January 2010 when the remaining aspects commenced, hospitality employers have had a new industrial relations system to get used to, and to comply with.
The Employment Relations Conference is designed to provide you with important updates on the legislation and its practical effect on hospitality employers, including insight into how many of the legislative provisions are operating six months on.
Conference presenters will also discuss the transitional provisions for modern awards - they commence operation on 1 July 2010 - and the changes that will result with wages, penalty rates and loadings as well as Enterprise Agreements and employment contracts, dismissals, workplace health and safety and how to manage an injured employee.
