Award Awareness

This course takes an in-depth look at the award structure relevant to your hotel and clarifies some of the common queries surrounding this complex system.  The course runs for approximately three hours and can be designed to cater to employers respondent to the following awards:

• Hospitality Industry – Accommodation, Hotels, Resorts and Gaming – Award 1998.

• Clerical Award – Hotels, Resorts and Certain Other Licensed Premises – State (South East Queensland).

• Hotels, Resorts and Certain Other Licensed Premises – State (Excluding South East Queensland).

• Liquor and Accommodation Industry – Hotels, Resorts and Gaming (Managerial Staff) Award 2003

On completion of this course attendees will have a better understanding of their responsibilities under the awards and will learn how to manage the awards to achieve more efficient operating processes including effective rostering and staffing.  Attendees will also gain a comprehensive analysis of award provisions.  Each participant receives a course workbook / manual, support material and a QHA certificate of attendance upon completion.
