The QHA's Accommodation Division conducts a monthly online survey of accommodation hotels in Queensland, which is well supported by hotels in the 4 and 5 star categories, with an almost 100% participation rate. The survey collects data and reports on:
occupancies
room rates
visitor type
visitor origin.
The output from the survey consist of monthly online graphs showing statistics for each region in Queensland advising them of their performance against competitors. Participants are also able to interrogate the online database themselves for daily and monthly data, and prepare their own statistical reports for any periods they wish to select.
